The BEACON Business Data Register (com)

BEACON, an Object Nexus, has been developed commercially by ICARIS Services, Melbourne, Australia and is now a highly functional and modern aid to business systems and their interoperation.

The Business Data Register (BDR) is a Uniform Naming Facility for the attributes of business processes, transactions and databases.

Unlike the many alternative attempts to achieve this, such as the ISO BSR (Basic Semantic Repository) Project, the BEACON BDR approach is not based on a simple data dictionary, even though it may have that appearance.

BEACON is based on Object Technology and is the support infrastructure for the emerging new-age technologies in the fields of Business, Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing.
